With regular work and patience, you can enjoy a profoundly peaceful and energized state of mind.

Endlessly talking about our feelings can sometimes keep us stuck in the very feelings we’re trying to process and move on from. The power lies beneath. If we are willing to stick with it. To really do the work. Then meditation can show us how unconscious conflicts are processed and recreated in the mind on a moment-to-moment basis.

“Least said, soonest mended” is an old saying no longer heard very often.
The expression, “The least said the better” is still used but in a very different context to the one that was originally meant. There was a time when people agreed that talking about things did not make them better. That discussion about a disagreement or problem would only make it worse. There was the belief that a bad situation could be more quickly forgotten if people stopped talking about it.

These are no longer popular notions. Monstrous abuses have been kept secret by victims too afraid to speak out. Some secrets are toxic. Talking in these cases is imperative.

While analyzing problems is useful, our “analyzer” brains are not what change us. If anything, talking about an issue over and over solidifies the problem in your present reality. Every time you complain, or rehash an issue, or turn a problem inside out, you are mentally solidifying that thing in your mind and in your life.

Meditation breaks down the wall between the conscious mind (the mind we think is in control) and the unconscious mind. that really is driving everything we do and think. Our conscious mind keeps us busy and distracted with beliefs, justifications, blame, causes and solutions. It works things out, it comes up with answers and then we think we’re done and move on.

Meditation Studies

Studies show that meditation rewires your brain, allowing you to have new thought patterns.

Meditation has shown to decrease healthcare usage by up to 40 percent. This is because when you are aware, you take care of yourself, and you are more in touch with your body. You are also less chronically stressed. (Stress is the cause of inflammation and decreased healing.)

We all want to feel grounded, centered, and in control. At the same time, we all want to optimize our energy and mental focus so that we can achieve more in a given day. Meditation is the only practice that does both. While simultaneously building gray matter in your brain, a physical restructuring that improves processing and literally paves the way for new ways of thinking.

The effect of meditation has been generally accepted to be of the highest positive order. This is one reason why more and more people are utilizing the healing power of meditation and other such holistic healing techniques for relief against physical as well as mental ailments.
